A single-page map of Bangalore, hand-curated rather than crowdsourced. Every place on it was chosen deliberately and written up by us. It is not a directory, a review platform, or a booking service, and there is nothing to pay for.

The map has two views. CUTS is the standing list — restaurants, cafés, bars, and shops worth crossing town for. After Darkswitches to what is actually happening tonight: scheduled events at the city's music and nightlife venues, which disappear from the map once they are over.

Everything above is public. Browse the map, search it, open any place to read the write-up and see the photos, switch between CUTS and After Dark, and share a link straight to a particular place — all without signing in, and without us storing anything about you. You can also recommend a place you think we have missed; that form asks for nothing about you and the submission is stored with no link to any account.

Signing in is optional and unlocks two things: saving places to your own list, marked either Want to go or Likes, and a short weekly email listing places that landed on the map that week. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and the account panel has the same switch.

We use Google Sign-In for this and request only your basic profile and email address — the sign-in scopes, nothing more. We do not read, send, or store your mail, contacts, calendar, files, or anything else in your Google account, and we never ask Google for permission to. Your email address is shown back to you in the account panel and used for the weekly email described above, nothing else: no advertising, no third-party sharing, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone.

You can sign out at any time, and ask us to delete your account and its saved places whenever you like.

The privacy policy sets out precisely what is stored when you sign in, which third-party services are involved, and how deletion works. The terms cover everything else. Both are worth the two minutes.
